Bosco di Bambù FINE XIX-INIZIO XX SECOLO Storico giardino Garzoni
L’impianto risale a una fase di aggiornamento della flora al gusto esotico che vede l’inserimento non solo del bambù ma anche delle palmacee. Il boschetto di questo bambù gigante (Phyllostachys viridiglaucescens) sorge nell’area che fin dal XVII secolo era occupata da un orto con alberi da frutto.
Nel 1998 una fioritura simultanea ovvero gregaria produsse una tale quantità di semi che assorbirono tutte le risorse energetiche della pianta fino a causarne la morte. In pochi anni, i semi di questa fioritura hanno consentito il rinnovo del popolamento.

Bamboo Grove LATE 19TH-EARLY 20TH CENTURY Historic Garzoni Garden
The planting dates back to a phase of updating the flora to exotic tastes that saw the inclusion not only of bamboo but also of palmaceae. The grove of this giant bamboo (Phyllostachys viridiglaucescens) stands in the area that had been occupied by a vegetable garden with fruit trees since the 17th century.
In 1998, a simultaneous, that is, gregarious flowering produced such a large quantity of seeds that they absorbed all the plant’s energy resources to the point of causing its death. Within a few years, the seeds from this bloom allowed the stand to be renewed.
